Review : Card Designed around headphones - great for gaming and video
I bought the card since my headphones have 150 Ohm Impedance and this card has a powered amp with 3 settings for headphones going up to 150 ohm.

Install + set-up :

Card installed easy.
1 - remove on board audio drivers
2 - opened up pc case and fitted into spare slot, tried different speed slots and it worked in all
3 - Attached the front audio connectors - default on card is Intel HD however it supports AC97 as well
4 - Powered on and entered BIOS and disabled motherboard audio
5 - powered on PC (if windows detects hardware and asks to install drivers cancel - win 7 64bit didn't ask) - then installed asus software (needs reboot after)
6 - post reboot installed unified xonar drivers - [...] - can be run at same time as official drivers - improves audio

Performance and use

SPDIF (optical out)
PRO-I use optical out for my 5.1 speakers so sound cards are largely irrelevant, however my onboard realtek audio...
